Denver, Colo.—Ore that is worth over $3,000 a ton is being broken in the 400-foot lead of the Old Gold on Beacon hill. It was found in a new vein about 250 feet north of the shaft.

Denver, Colo.—At the Old Gold, just below the El Paso, tons of ore are being sacked for shipment under armed guards that assays from 50 cents to $1 per pound, or $1,000 to $2,000 per ton. Some of the selected samples weighing 500 to 1,000 pounds yield as high as $3 to $10 per pound.
