Alert Gold Mining Co. Bought Little Joe and Kalamazoo
This company has bought the Little Joe and Kalamazoo claims on Bull Hill near Altman. The price given is $72,500. This company has been operating a lease on some of the Damon property close to the north end of the claims purchased, and took out considerable ore.
The new property lies parallel to the Wild Horse claim of the Consolidated Gold Mines Company, which is shipping largely. The Little Joe and Kalamazoo where bought from W.H. Reynolds of New York, who has done a large amount of work on them.
Mr. Reynolds still retains an interest in the property and was elected president of this company. The other officers are Mr. Stovel and O. W. Pitcher. Mr. Pitcher is general manager.

Cripple Creek.—It is reported that Gray & Glenn, leasing on the Little Joe claim of the Alert company, on Bull hill, have come into a body of rich ore at a depth of 100 feet. It is understood that the mineral gives returns of from five to six ounces in gold to the ton.

Henry Adney G. M. Co. Buys Lode Claims
One of the most important of recent mining transactions was an agreement by George J. Bravo of Inyo county, California, to sell to the Henry Adney Gold Mining Co., for $30,000, the following claims on the western slope of Beacon hill:
Maid of Orleans or Little Joe
Chickenhawk
and August Flower.
With the acquisition of these claims the Henry Adney will become the second largest company operating on Beacon hill.
