Model can now be found and downloaded from the Trainz Download Station.

- Look up KUID2:77573:10:1 (Underground version with darker textures) or

- Look up KUID2:77573:11:1 (To be used outdoor, brighter textures). Or use my main Downloads page (TRS2004 or newer only) for a link to the file at the Trainz Download Station.

Or, you can just click here on this Direct Link for the Underground version, or this Direct Link for the above ground version. Both direct links need the Download Helper to work, and installs direct into Trainz, or Content Manager if TRS2006 or newer.

Animated gif of side of Mancha with only the rotating wheel

Well, it seams like this project hit a stonewall... smile

But, today I have some news, I've had a major breakthrough, and now my little trammer has animated wheels that actually rotates - wow! smile

Yes, for me that's a big WOW!. Not to difficult either. Now I just need to figure out how to make a handle and brake to work with inside "Driver" in Trainz...

For now I use the "DCC" mode which just uses two keyboard buttons to drive with.

From a little earlier I also put in a driver made from a figure that "TheCowboy" (Trainz username) has made available on his website.

Not the best look of the figure, since my redone of it was not a very good one, but at least from a distance it looks okay - more work to be done later when I feel for it...

For now, here's some pictures and 2 animated gif's showing of my wheels - bad looking, but still, it's my wheels... smile

A front view of the Mancha on the trestle to my Economic Mill model.

About same location as the first shot, except you see the backend.

Another view of the Mancha at the approach to the Economic Mill.

I'm back..! smile  Yes, I've been out (or was it in...) testing my new trammer... By just adding an attachment called a.light0 in gmax and nothing more in the config.txt file I was able to have some light showing me the way in the tunnel - cool!

Okay then, it might not impress you at all, but me, I found this SO COOL!! smile Below is some pictures from this trip, and I've also just to be nice added some pictures of that maiden trip with the pink version...

Enjoy the pictures, sorry it is so many, but I'm so proud I just had to take many pictures to show who ever cares to watch! smile

A view taken at a Mine/Mill model of mine, showing a larger brother in background, built for 2-foot gauge.

Look how small he his compared to his big brother at right, which is built for 2-foot gauge...

Yet another view of these two brothers, alike and very unlike, just like brothers tend to be...

Coming around the bend...
Taken on a test map of mine, coming from the dump track.

Coming around the bend - yes, colors in this underground view are all wrong, but as an illustration...

Ups, light went out...

It's now Monday afternoon, and I'm still working on my little Mancha... animated smile Or, more truthful right now, my page about it...

I started yesterday with a paintjob, and have continued today - and for the moment I'm happy about how it turned out. It looks good inside of gmax where today's pictures are from - and also quite okay inside TOE. Just wonder how it will look inside of Trainz, as I haven't been in there since yesterday... Hopefully not to bad.

As you can see on the pictures I still need to "dirty it up" but I guess that will happen while it's in use... smile Oh, no, the computer will not to it, so I have to do it...?  Okay, if you say so... smile

Anyway, I still have to read up on how to make lights working, how to animate the wheels so they rotate, how to make the power up/down thing actually work and so on - but still, being my first real engine I'm really proud of it!!

Okay, no more babbling, I will show you all (?) the pictures... animated smile

I've just done something I should have done before actually try building this - a search on the Internet... animated smile

Not that I found so very much interesting, but beside finding 1 page featuring a real model of the one I have plans for (by 2013 that page is gone missing) I also learned a little and saw a couple of pictures of some real ones. But I found the model so cool I just had to update my page with a link to it... smile

I have also been successful of getting the engine to both show up in Trainz, and actually ride along the track, and wow, I even got the "inside" view to work! Had hard time with that on my first secret engine...

Okay then, still need to get a better engine file for it, and paint it - now it is bright pink and therefore I have no pictures of the test run... Beside, I had some track problems...

But, I'm getting there, I'm getting there! smile

Look how small he is, and strange looking, yes even more then his big brother standing in front.

The other side as a sort of closer look... Not much really maybe, but for me it was a proud moment, kind alike a birth was taking place..

Inside the tunnel - at least you can see it... Better watch out now... The pink monster is after you...

One more inside the tunnel, this was just a test and he made it!

This page is dedicated to my first (okay then, second...) ever engine/locomotive for Trainz! My first engine was in fact looking like something else, and is still more or less a secret (only two other's outside this house has heard about it, 1 actually seen it...) so making this page means I will put out for the whole world to see my version of a small little mine engine called a Mancha trammer!

This is a battery locomotive, meant to be used to haul ore cars out of the mines, it's small being just 1,5ton, and runs on just 18" gauge (ca 45,72cm) but according to the drawing I used (found in the NG&SLG Sep/Oct 2000 edition, page 88) it's the most popular sized models in the mining industry.

Not knowing much about either the industry or the engine I just tell you what I've reading... smile

The fact that I have no idea about this stuff means that I actually have some small problems modeling this, so if you happen to know this engine and thinks my model is way off - well, remember, I don't know what I'm doing, I just tried following a drawing so I could get my self a model I could ride inside Trainz so I could inspect my mine tunnels without walking... animated smile

Animated gif of an old Mancha model inside a mine tunnel

There's already an model of a Mancha engine at the Trainz download station, made by X200 (Trainz user name - hyperlink just work if you have Trainz installed and registered), and is available as a 2' gauge locomotive.

You see it on the left as it moves by in an old animation that I made long time ago, using one of my old mine tunnels, the locomotive and some 2' coal cars made by someone I just can't seam to remember who is now.

Me wanting a smaller gauge, and more true to spec as the one above as far as I know is more or less freelanced, I went through my magazines in search of a drawing..

I actually wanted an electric trolley one, or an compressed air driven one - but this seamed like an easy modeling project so I tried this one...

It took me the some hours Friday night, and the whole Saturday to get to the point you see in the pictures! And still lot of works left...

It needs to be painted - think I make it bright pink... animated smile

It needs some sort of attachments to work inside Trainz.

It needs I would guess rotating wheels, working light, operating things, like the brakes and the forward/backward thing...

It needs an engine spec to be able to drive in Trainz

And so on...

But, all that is still to come, right now, here's the pictures I took last night just before I went to bed!
