Seeing Cripple Creek, March 1905 - Volume 4, Issue 4

This Seeing Cripple Creek book (or magazine as they seem to calling it themselves) is in what I would consider to be a Not so Good shape, with all pages suffering from one or more of the following issues; Hole at Staple | Missing Paper | Smudges, Smears & Spots | Writings | Discoloration {Where Original Stables used to be, very much rust color] | Edge Wear | Loose Page | Paper Tear | Staple Off Center {More Modern Staples put in near top/bottom, removed by me] | Corner Folds | Wrinkled Paper. Still, the content text is fully usable and while images are light and of printed quality, there are still some of the more rare & interesting ones in this issue!

This issue of the Seeing Cripple Creek series is Volume 4, Number 4 and is dated March 1905. It contains 52 pages with the covers, mostly numbered pages, starting from page 3 till page 50. The first 9 and the last 9 pages, inside the cover, are full of advertisements.

Beside the various advertisements, it feels choke full of text articles from both the District and other parts of Colorado and in this issue there is one about a Utah Mining operations by the Uintah Mining, Milling and Development Company, linked to Cripple Creek District businessmen. All article pages have at least one image on it, and the articles varies from small notices to multiple pages long texts about companies, mines, people, etc. Many views show mines of the area I never seen as images before. The quality of the views can be bad due to the paper and size which when it is small makes some of the views not very useful due to the way that are made up of dots because of the printing process, but overall I've been satisfied with this book series in terms of the images!

I hope you enjoy sort of reading this book by browsing these images, as I do find enjoyment in the fact that I am able to share it here for all to see/find. animated smile After all, these books can be hard to find, and are mostly quite expensive! This issue was among those with some cost to it, as it did cost me USD 150.91 with shipping to Norway, bought late November 2013 through an eBay listing.

-> Pieces from this book will over time appear in other sections of my site as text info.

Enjoy this little trip back to yesterday! Also, if you ever feel for donate something to help me funding my site, please use this PayPal link.
