Gold Sovereign Tunnel
The Gold Sovereign Mining & Tunnel company owns the Gold Sovereign and J. G. Blaine lodes and tunnel site on the southwest slope of Bull hill.
The tunnel enters just below the Gold Sovereign lode, and the course is in an easterly direction through Bull hill. It is one of the old locations, and was driven a distance of nearly 200 feet.
The present company is one that has been recently reorganized and are preparing to resume the work at once, and will probably enlarge the tunnel to a double track.
The officers of the new company are Henry Le B. Wills, president; H. P. Lillibridge, vice-president; and Godfrey Kissel, secretary and treasury.

The Gold Sovereign mine, on Bull hill, operated by the Clements Leasing Co., Miller Michev & Co. and Wiltz & Olsen, sub-lessees, produced in January 28 cars of ore, or about 850 tons, carrying $10 to $25 a ton.
The bulk of this ore was shipped by the two sub-lessees, who are mining at both the main and No. 2 shafts. The Clements Leasing Co., holding the original lease on the property, has done prospect work in the deeper levels, in which an excellent showing is reported.
The dumps at the Gold Sovereign are also being worked over by lessees and a fair grade of milling ore is saved after washing, hand sorting and screening the rock.

Gold Sovereign Happenings
The production of the Gold Sovereign, on Bull hill, is becoming heavier, and the April output probably will be in the neighborhood of 27 cars. Ore is being mined from both the upper and lower workings, and is returning all the way from 1 oz. to 142 ozs. gold.
Several sets of sub-lessees are operating on this ground, and the original lease is held by the Clements Leasing Co., which is at present engaged in prospect work in the deeper levels, where an excellent showing is reported.
The Gold Sovereign dumps are also being worked over by lessees, and a fair grade of milling ore is saved after the rock has been washed, hand sorted and screened.
