While sadly the paper quality of this photograph is not much to be happy for, as it has some issues when it comes to clarity and what is dark is dark forever as it is not possible to lighten them, it still is one of the very few views I know about showing the Jefferson Mine. This would be the north and west side of the mine, a typical small mine with exposed head-frame, hoist house structure with various other uses for tools, storage, and coal as there is a smokestack seen.
The street on the right-hand side of the mine would be the extension of Victor Avenue, passed the deep cut at the high school seen in the background, with the Victor Iron Works just across the south Dewey street, seen with its large letters on the false front part of the structure. This mine is located on Block 9, on lots 15, 16 with the structure, as per Sanborn 1908 Fire Insurance map.Jefferson Mine, Cropped From Victor [As Seen From Squaw Mountain]
