Nightingale Lessees in Rich Pocket
Denver— There are many reminders of old conditions at Cripple Creek. Rich pockets of surface ore are still found. Near the Moose, on the Nightingale, some lessees in June sunk a windlass-shaft and at 18 ft. went into ore.
They have since shipped approximately $10,000 worth with no machinery and little expense.

Work on the Claude and Nightingale
Work on the Claude and Nightingale
Frank S. Ingoldsby and associates are pushing the work on their Gold and Bull hill properties. They now have the machinery in place on the Claude and the contractors will start to work tomorrow with three shifts. The shaft is down 92 feet and a crosscut started broke into the vein in a distance of a foot and one half.
On the Nightingale lease, which adjoins the Lottie on Bull hill, the whim is ready to start tomorrow, and work will begin with three shifts. Crosscutting will be started east and west from the bottom of the 60-foot shaft and a tunnel will be run through the south end of the ground, so that any and all of the veins crossing the Nightingale territory are sure to be discovered.
