I do not know who took this view, nor when it was photographed, but I know it was no later than early July 1909 as the postcard this is from is post-stamped July 17, 1909. I am not certain about the direction either, but presume it to be northeast or just east, and it looks to be from when they still were building on the Golden Cycle Mill, former known as Telluride Mill.
This was a Chlorination Mill from the start, but converted to a Cyanide Mill from the start of its life as the Golden Cycle, and if this is the version after the original mill burned, I do not know but I have a feel it is a new structure and nothing of the Telluride is left, but please forgive if I am wrong.
The Golden Cycle mill would end up as the last standing mill treating Cripple Creek ores, and while this mill at last closed the Golden Cycle built a mill inside the District so in name it still lasted some more years.Golden Cycle Mill, Colorado City, Colo.
