Not much done, was in Maastrich with Tore today for our weekly laser for his eyes, hopefully this is last time now. Next time - 3rd august - he will not have laser, just a normal checkup to see that everything has gone okay and that they can proceed with whatever step they need to take next.
But, I've continued this afternoon with something I started yesterday, put in track attachments in the mesh inside Gmax an let Trainz attach the track itself.
Unfortunately there's no way to make a switch this way, so those has to be put in by hand inside of Trainz - which in this case is a real drag as 1 is inside the building, and while the other is out on a bridge it's still a very tight spot to do it in.
But I managed to do it, and it works... :-)
Next to do is make 2 bins, one ore bin in top of mill, and 1 coal bin in that shed between the mill and the crib wall. Also needs to put in some sort of a platform at the mill output in the front - and add the two tracks I need to transfer this into a working Trainz industry.
Yes, I now, I need to add some script work too... Not looking forward to that one...
And, I need something to run on that 18 inch gauge I've installed - need to try my hand on an engine and some ore cars - because as you see, this horse is to big to use... :-)
Anyway, wanted to just give an quick update and show some more pictures - mostly of my newly laid 18" track... ;-)

Been trying to get a ground texture working, not as easy as I had hoped. Made one from 1 of the pictures I took in the Cripple Creek area, and it looks kinda good in both Gmax and TOE - but inside Trainz it didn't worked quit as good.
I also found a horse that Barry (once more, it's a Trainz user name :-), but also his first name...) had uploaded to the Download Station (DS) as a so called "drivable horse" meaning it act's like a locomotive and can be used on tracks (invisible mostly, but I used it to haul a mine car as seen below) to drag different stuff along.
It's a little big I think for my need, but I could always make my own... Oh no, not another project I would never finish... ;-) After all, I need to make some proper mine cars soon, to use inside the mines...
Oh well, I just upload this two pictures I have, then go back to Gmax or something...

Not done much on this model, yesterday was not a good day as I got no sleep on the night leading to it, beside, we where out a couple of trips - after all, it was Sunday, can't stay in with the computer all day...
Anyway, I've been starting to build a bridge between mine and mill in Gmax, but it's not visible very good on the pictures because the 2-foot bridge tracks I've been using in order to have a train run on it... But it will come.
Also more or less decided that my mine will not use 2-foot/24-inch track, but instead go for a 18-inch track as I have some measurements for both a battery tram engine and ore cars I sort of want to try build. And, most mines seamed to use 18-inch gauge track inside the mine. :-)
But just for today's update I used my 2-foot track, a Mancha 1.12 Ton Battery Electric engine made of X-200 (user name Trainz, real name Tim Gaskell) and 6 Merced ore cars made by narrowgauge (user name Trainz, real name Peter Pardoe-Matthews).

Noname Mine & Mill #1, this is just a model made for fun, and for testing some ideas and textures - and, to get away from my normal duty for Cripple Creek and Gilpin stuff... :-)
Based on a mine tunnel (The Gold Exploration Co. Tunnel) from Cripple Creek and a mill (Avon mine & mill) from Gilpin (Central City) county.
The mine is not made from any Sanborn, just ideas from pictures I've seen. The Mill is based on a picture I have of the Avon Mill near Nevadaville in Gilpin county, meaning, it got served by the Gilpin Tram.
And, since I already had a model of the Avon, and I needed/wanted to check out some new textures I got from my Colorado trip, well, the idea ended up in me spending now 2 days in Gmax and still not there yet.. ;-)
So far, I have a mine tunnel with two buildings, 1 is the mine and it's tool shed and so on, and the other is the powerhouse and such (this, is actually based on a 1900 Sanborn map of the mine), and then of course the mill itself.
Inside Trainz I've added some tracks as the picture shows - but will try to see what I can get out of Gmax as I want a little different look that my normal 2' NG track I made for the Gilpin Tram project.
But, for now, this is the pictures I have from today.
