Cripple Creek's Latest Social Organizations.
THEY ARE ALL OLD-TIMERS
Barnacles in Name Only—They Stick to the Great Gold Camp, But Are Hustlers From 'Way Back—Organization Perfected Last Night.

At a meeting of the old-timers of the Cripple Creek mining district last night in the Masonic Temple about 100 signed the list.

J. S. Cody called the meeting to order and Charles Hathaway was elected temporary chairman, W. J. Baltzell secretary. The election of permanent officers was the next order of business and the following were chosen:

J. A. Doyle of Anaconda, president

J. Polin, vice-president

Charles Hathaway, secretary

W. B. Pullin, treasurer.

On motion the chair was instructed to appoint all committees and that he be given one week to name the same.

The "Barnacles of the Cripple Creek Mining District," was the name selected for the organization. The meetings are to be held on the first and second Wednesday nights of each month.

A resolution of condolence was passed, on motion of the president, extending sympathy to J. A. Kelly for the loss of his grandchild.

A collection was taken up and $22 raised to meet incidental expenses.

Following are the names of the persons who were eligible to sign the roll of membership and did so last night. Before the list is complete there will be several hundred more. This list gives name and the date of arrival in the district:
